My name is Reginald Eugene Burnette. I must tell you that from an early age, I’ve always had an interest in two (2) things: Aviation and driving all kinds of motor vehicles. Yes, I am an armature gear head.
My Story
As the 1990’s rolled around, I developed another fascination: That would be computers, and the things that humans can do with them. And one of the things that computers can do very well, is simulate things that are done in the real world. I discovered that there are software programs that simulate aviation, and there are software programs that simulate driving motor vehicles. Yes, you can totally immerse yourself in these activities and never leave the comfort of your bedroom.
WHY I WANT TO HELP PEOPLE
After many years of “playing” these simulations myself (first flight Sim, and later Euro Truck, and American Truck simulators, I’ve come to realize that many beginners think that you have to spend a fortune enjoying these “games”. Personally, I don’t believe that is necessarily true. Yes, you can spend huge amounts of money on these hobbies, trick out an entire garage, and turn it into something absolutely “real”. But I started with a medium sized tabletop, a used driving wheel, and a computer which was not exactly the fastest machine on the planet.
My purpose here is to get beginners started with the tools necessary to enjoy the experience of simulation “games”. I will try to give honest reviews of tools and services. You really don’t need to break the bank in the beginning.
