It’s been a while since I’ve posted here, so I thought it was time for a little catch-up. As many of you know, SCS Software has been diligently updating both Euro Truck Simulator 2 and American Truck Simulator. These updates include new DLCs and reworks of existing content, enhancing the overall gaming experience.
Recently, I transitioned from Euro Truck Simulator 2 to American Truck Simulator. While I have a deep appreciation for Euro Truck, the evolving landscape of American Truck Simulator, especially with the rework of the California DLC, piqued my interest. In the video below, I embark on a journey hauling a load of salt from Los Angeles, California, to Nogales, Arizona. This trip showcases the revamped California scenery and the desert landscapes of Arizona. Although there’s no verbal commentary, I’ve included text comments throughout the video for your engagement. Recent Updates from SCS Software:
- Controller Configuration Overhaul: In the 1.51 update, SCS Software is enhancing the controller settings system for both Euro Truck Simulator 2 and American Truck Simulator. This improvement aims to provide players with more flexibility and control, allowing for a gameplay experience that more closely resembles real-life driving. SCS Software’s blog
- Graphics Enhancements: The 1.40 update introduced a new visual lighting system, significantly improving the in-game environment’s realism and immersion. SCS Software’s blog
- Map Expansions: SCS Software continues to expand the in-game world with new map DLCs. For instance, in Euro Truck, there is the upcoming Scandinavia refresh in the Scandinavia DLC. Also, in Euro Truck, there is the upcoming “Nordic Horizons” DLC. This features Skelleftea, which is located near the Northeast coast of Sweden. Meanwhile, in American Truck, there is a Missouri map extension coming up. It features 4 actual underground warehouses you can drive through.
