SCS Software News

From the SCS Software News from, here’s what’s been happening with our favorite simulators.

SCS Software has given us a sneak peek, at their upcoming DLC release for American Truck Simulator, Nebraska. Click here to see for yourself.

Of course the DLC is still very much a work in progress, but if the stunning screenshots I saw on the SCS website are any indication, this DLC will be a worthy addition to the Kansas DLC and to the game as a whole.

There is a strong highlight of Nebraska’s rail industry, and why not? In real life, Nebraska’s known for it’s huge rail network which stretches across the U.S., towards both coasts.

Like Kansas, Nebraska is a “plains” state, noted for pioneers crossing the old Oregon trail, heading west. SCS Software has faithfully recreated some of the landmarks along the actual trail, including signposts, rest areas, and even a broken covered wagon.

Of course, the Nebraska DLC will be available on Steam, once the release date is announced.

Nebraska isn’t the only DLC coming our way for American Truck Simulator fans. SCS Software also plans the release of the upcoming Arkansas DLC as well. As usual, you can view the “work in progress” screenshots at the SCS blog here. I’m sure you will find them as amazing as I did.

You’ll see welcome centers that look so real, you’d swear you were looking at “Travel & Leisure” photographs. And yes, for us truckers, there are plenty of rest areas and weigh stations in the Arkansas DLC.

All still a “work in progress”, and all available on steam once the release date is made.

In the meantime, while you wait, you can view some “in-house”, no commentary videos, by clicking on this page. Don’t worry, I’m not asking for any money (smiles), just a little time.
